[meet the forest]
BIO |
Forestline is an LA-based indie rock group composed of Will Taggart on guitar and lead vocals, Joe Fournier on keys, synths, and backing vocals, and Nick Coggiola on bass. They feature a varying mix of musical elements inspired by all eras of rock music, and just released their debut self-titled EP at the end of 2021.
The group first met as music students at Syracuse University, and reconnected in Los Angeles as backing musicians for another artist. Following strong performances at music festivals and around Hollywood, they decided to begin focusing on workshopping Taggart's songwriting ideas together. Their focus on creating a sound that blended together eras of rock, as well as personal and honest lyrics, resulted in the birth of Forestline.
Their 2021 EP also features Jon Kane on drums and as lead engineer and mixer, and Iris Pechenik on saxophone, both of whom were band members until departing after recording. The group also wrote a second EP during 2020 and 2021, and are planning to record it in the near future.
In addition to their recorded music, the group’s musicality is known to shine through during their live shows. All three are accomplished live performers, improvisers and multi-instrumentalists, and have played around the United States prior to Forestline.

"Are you making any money?" - All of Nick's relatives, former teachers, friends with corporate jobs, past employers, beloved mentors, Airbnb hosts, ex-girlfriends, and old high school bullies
"That Waves one, it just has a nice feel to it you know? I can play it for at least a good 30, 35 minutes while I'm out fishing and not even realize how much time has gone by. I like that in a rock song." - Joe's dad
"I won't book you unless you have a TikTok, sorry." - Bitch-ass promoter who clearly hasn't thought that Kurt Cobain also never had a TikTok nor would have wanted one and therefore would have likely sided with us
"You boys are fantastic! Your father and I are so proud of you. I love how you make the guitars get extra growly, and I love it even more now that it's out of my basement haha!!! JK Love u!!!" - Will's mom
"Nice job guys, it sounded sooo great! No, for real! Super glad we came out tonight. Do you have any extra drink tickets?" - Every single one of our friends, after every single show, every single time
"Lmao my b with that pandemic. Lemme fix that so y'all can play shows again hehehe ;)" - God, via text
